Part D Prescription Drug Plan Information

Medicare Part D prescription drug plans help pay the cost of your prescription drugs.

While a prescription drug plan is not included with original Medicare (parts A and B), it is included with AmeriHealth Caritas VIP Care Plus (Medicare-Medicaid plan), giving you protection from prescription drug costs and peace of mind.

AmeriHealth Caritas VIP Care Plus covers both brand name drugs and generic drugs. Generic drugs have the same active ingredients as brand name drugs. Generic drugs usually cost less than brand name drugs and are rated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to be as safe and effective as brand name drugs.
